PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Canine Companions, Sussex, NJ 1986-present  Director and Owner Developed new and highly successful approach for training dogs – the Kinship® Psychological Dog Training® Method. Trained thousands of dogs to behave obediently and non-aggressively.  Started school for professional dog trainers in 1988.  Have helped over 150 people to become effective dog trainers.
• United States K-9, Sussex, NJ 2002-present Director and Owner. Provide advanced dog training specifically designed for security and protection purposes. Widely recognized for delivering the highest standards and best possible results. Created the United States K-9 Seal and Service Mark, denoting a very high level of competence and quality in dog training.
• Friends Of Wayne Animal Society, Wayne Township, NJ 2007 President. Oversaw and managed Wayne Township Animal Shelter and the FOWA organization.  Evaluated and trained animals prior to adoption, ensuring they were suitable as family pets. Coached dog handlers on appropriate training techniques.

• United States Postal Service, Washington DC 2006 Trainer – Dog Bite Prevention. Created public service announcements on dog handling and how to prevent aggression. Trained dogs that were appearing in public service announcements. Appeared in Always Play It Safe With Dogs 9 (public service television ad). Received an ‘Oscar’ for the “Best Bark in a Public Service Announcement”, from the US Postal Service.
• Sussex County Farm and Horse Show State Fair, Augusta, NJ 1996-1998 Dog Training Demonstrator Demonstrated techniques for dog training and resolving behavioral problems at this annual fair.
• YMCA, Sparta, NJ 1994 Dog Training Instructor.  Ran obedience dog training classes. Held private sessions for difficult dogs.
