While walking a Maltese pet dog on the side walk down the street from her home in New Jersey, a 10 year old girl was attacked by a Pit Bull that jumped a fence. When the child tried to hold dog up in the air, the Pit Bull attacked the child in the legs and stomach.

A 10 year old girl was walking her 1 year old Maltese dog down the street from her home. A Pit Bull dog jumped the 4 foot fence and went after the small dog. The child lifted the dog above her head to protect it from the Pit Bull. The Pit Bull bit the child in the legs and abdomen.

I was hired as an expert on containment type aggression in canines by the plaintiff. I was able to show that the owner knew or should have known about the Pit Bull’s dangerous propensities. After my involvement, the dog was declared dangerous and the owners were found to be negligent.

Case settled.
