Installing an invisible fencing system.
One of the mistakes that is made repeatedly is installing a fence to close to the property boundary. These systems are known for failure. I cannot tell you how many dogs end up in a shelter wearing fencing system shock collars.
Depending on the property specifics, keep the fence system well inside the property boundary and keep the system in the backyard and away from the driveway. The lack of a physical boundary may cause alarm in people passing by the property because they might think that the dog is loose.
Another thing to note is the fact that these systems are not designed to be used leaving your dog contained in it unattended. Supervision is a must.
